From a young age, Alexis has performed with such troupes as Los Muchachos de San Juan, Intar, Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, Voices Incorporated and the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, utilizing both his vocal and dance—as well as his acting—abilities. Later, Alexis crossed the country as a solo jazz vocalist. Performing at Ashford & Simpson’s downtown Manhattan club, Twenty-Twenty, Alexis sold out his shows. After that, he recorded for Street Level Productions as part of a duo, billed as Romeo & Juliet, a dance music sensation.
Eventually, Alexis decided to pursue his dream of becoming a restaurant manager and took a break from singing. Only now, having been summoned back to perform by his Juliet—Francine Mancini—has he returned to his first love, the performing arts.
